Weston Super Mare Beach Trip
Sunday 31st July 2016
Our latest beach trip was a great success. We had a full coach of people, with a waiting list. We were sold out very quickly due to popular demand. It was an excellent day and the weather was mostly great. Unfortunately, it did get quite windy and the tide stayed out for quite a while, but apart from that it was a great day.
Saturday 24th September 2016
The Annual Sharad Bhajan Bhojan was held on Saturday 24th September 2016 at the Shree Sanatan Seva Samaj. We had Shree Krishna Jalaram Mandel from Northolt provide us with good music and bhajan followed by Bhojan cooked by Mahilas in Luton. Some of the donations we collected that evening were donated to our local hospital – The Luton and Dunstable Hospital, the Cardiac Department.
Thank you to all that attended the event, without you these events would not be successful.
Dinner and Dance
Saturday 25th November 2016
This year we were successful to organise a dinner dance event at Stopsley working men’s club on Saturday 26 th November 2016. It was an excellent venue and we had a live music group – Rangeen Kala from Leicester. The event was well organised with dedicated volunteers of committee members as well as their family members and ran smoothly on time. All the food vegetarian and nonvegetarian was home cooked. We are very grateful to all who helped with the provision of cooking facilities and their skills. Our special thanks go to Minaben Lad for the donation of home made samosas and also taking a lead to cook vegetarian food with help from our volunteer ladies.
This was a free event and all those who attended thoroughly enjoyed it. The idea of a free event is to bring together Prajapati community together and share our common culture. It is to extend friendship and make new friends amongst us. It is also to know what you would like to do together as a community. The question of “free event” should not arise. It is financed from the donations you gave us and you should be happy to come. On this occasion, we are very grateful to the members who donated or bought raffle tickets at this event that covered all the cost. This shows you are generous Prajapatis. This encourages the Samaj management team to repeat the free event with a different theme. If you missed it last year please try to support and come this year.

We had our gents night at Club Marina in Kingsbury. We had a good turn out seeing some new faces, and some old ones. It was generally a great night and everyone enjoyed themselves. If you’d like to attend next year, please keep an ear out around Christmas.
Childrens Party – Panto – Aladdin

Our members went to a Pantomime on the 17th December 2016. The magic beans returned this year to the Grove Theatre in Dunstable. CBBC star Ed Petrie played Wishee Washee, Brian Capron played Abanazar and Kerin & Sarah (from Britains got Talent) joined the cast. 15 parents and children attended the show.Among them were parents, grandparents and aunties. It created a special bond of all present, with everyone screaming their heads off to the jokes and songs. If you would like to attend any of our similar events in the future then please contact any of our committee members.

We had another successful beach trip this year to Great Yarmouth. Here are a few words from Anilbhai about the trip.
We at SPA LUTON organized a day out to GREAT YARMOUTH on Sunday 20th JULY 2014. We had sold 42 tickets of the allocated 53. We hired out THEOBALDS COACHES. The coach was extremely comfortable and clean. Good Bollywood music provided by Reena Mistry.
The group of people on the coach were very jolly and happy. Lots fun & laughter. Really nice to see all the lovely ladies sharing the food they had made at home for the journey. Lots of variety and taste.
The day it self was filled with fun & laughter. Relaxing and playing on the 2p machines trying to win all the prizes. The weather was very kind to us. Sunny all day. Not a drop of rain. Cod & Chips went down very well too. Value for money. Only started raining on our return journey.
Hope to have another great day out by the seaside next year.

Our beach trip this year was to Margate. The day was excellent with the sun shining all day and hardly a cloud in the sky. We were lucky enough to have the Margate Carnival coincide with the day of our trip. It was great to see some regular faces, and also some new faces this time.
